Rayleigh's 3!

Our girl went from little girl to big girl overnight....so she thinks.  Last Monday, July 25th, was Rayleigh Jo's 3rd birthday.  Here's how the day went:

She awoke to me singing "Happy Birthday" to her (when she wakes up and comes to our room and I'm too tired to walk her back to bed, she'll sometimes sleep the remainder of the night here next to our bed.)

 At breakfast (Lucky Charms cereal was the request), she got to open a present and card from Grandmomma.

 She had a swim party with her friends that morning at Papa and Grandma's house.

 She loves babies and is so good with them.

 Opened presents, with the help of her friends, of course.

Instead of cake, she had a tub of Blue Bell for......ice-cream cones!  The kids got to put their own sprinkles on their ice-cream.  *Before you judge, she was going to have a family party also, and I saved the cake-making for that.  Ice-cream was much better for outside pool party with 2 and 3 year olds.  She still got to blow out candles.



The rest of the day was spent playing and livin' it up as a now 3 year old.

She is one blessed little girl.  She loves God.  She loves Jesus.  She has a sweet spirit.  She adores her Mommy and Daddy.  I couldn't be more proud of her after 3 years. 

Favorite song:  Jesus Loves Me - sings it a ton of times every day

Loves to help you do any chore, if I sing the special "Helper" song.

Loves kisses, children, running, jumping, climbing, singing - really loudly.

Loves gum - that's her reward for taking a nap.  She'll do anything for a piece of gum.

Loves pretend play and loves us to play with her.  Last thing she had me do was be a waitress.  Before that, she played the Mommy and I played the Rayleigh, in her words.

Can identify her numbers.

Can identify a couple of letters, and can make an R and an A......when she feels like it.

She is so smart, so loving, and I look forward to what God has in store for her.

Rayleigh, Mommy and Daddy love you more than you'll ever know.  Enjoy being 3!  We're sure going to soak up every minute of it - it will be over before we know it.  Happy birthday, angel girl.
